Lots of resin, but nice mold

The mold is sturdy and is very shiny, yielding an excellent resulting piece. It's too small for a lot of paper towels in the US, but excellent for toilet paper.

The mold itself is great but……

I poured this mold to test before featuring it on my Etsy as I do all molds. It was great! It did use a lot of resin but, it was super sturdy. I could see it lasting for years and years. I added some 3M rubber adhesives to the bottom and it is solid! I love it. But……paper towels straight from the package do not fit and neither do toilet paper rolls. They are too thick. Maybe it’s just my brands? Sam’s Club multipacks? But it was a bummer. I would say at least 1/3 of the rolls would need to be used before fitting the holder. So, I am using it to hold rolls of tape currently. Pics of holder was done in Alcohol inks/white pigmented resin.

To small

I was excited to get this just to find out it was way too small to even fit a well used roll….and it takes 14 ounces of resin….. the rolls we have here are double and triple the size…so they need to go back to the drawing board and make it to fit our largest roll made….good idea but to small
